The World Games soon in South Korea? Not impossible. The International World Games Association (IWGA) took advantage of the Paris 2024 Games to conclude a partnership agreement with the Korean Olympic and Sports Committee. It was signed Monday July 29 at the Korean House in Paris. According to the official version, it is intended to “promoting increased collaboration and mutual support between the two organizations, with the aim of promoting the values of sportsmanship, excellence and international friendship”, in view of the next edition of the World Games, scheduled for August 7 to 17, 2025 in Chengdu, China. But with this rapprochement with the international body, South Korea could also prepare the ground for a candidacy for a next edition of the multisport event. The country has never organized the World Games before.
