Part of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games will continue to live in Paris airports. A call for projects is officially launched for the creation of “two in-situ and lasting works” intended to be installed in the Orly and Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airports. These works will be made fromequipment and decorative objects used during the Olympic Games in airports. These materials in wood, metal and plastic will be made available to the winners for the realization of their project. Artists, creators, architects, designers, scenographers and collectives are invited to apply until March 16. The projects will be selected by a jury before April, and each will have a budget of 40.000 euros to cover design, production and installation. Partner of this initiative, the artistic center Le 104 specifies that "the works are installed on site in October 2025, for an indefinite period, but must be designed to ensure viability of at least five years”. The location of these works has already been determined : that of Roissy-Charles de Gaulle will be placed in terminal 2, near the baggage control area, and that of Orly in terminal 3, near the boarding gates.
