The question of the future of the Olympic facilities in Sochi, after the Winter Games, is about to be resolved. According to Russian media, the country intends to create a gambling zone there. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak said the creation of the zone was aimed at “improving the financial model” of Olympic projects that receive large loans, including from Russia’s top bank, Sberbank. Currently, only one gambling area is active, that of the city of Azov on the shores of the Sea of Azov.
