Sochi capital of chess

Russia

The Sochi Olympic calendar continues to fill up. After the tennis Fed Cup, an F1 Grand Prix, matches of the 2018 World Cup and Russian football and ice hockey clubs, its facilities will also host the world chess championships. The Norwegian Magnus Carlsen, defending champion, will face the Indian Viswanathan Anand in a series of games scheduled for November 2014.
