Sir Philip towards a new mandate?

International Paralympic Committee

The International Paralympic Committee will meet at its next General Assembly in Athens, Greece. The event, which will take place on November 23 and 24, will notably make it possible to elect, or rather re-elect, its President. Indeed, the British Sir Philip Craven should normally be reappointed at the head of the organization, for what will be his fourth and final mandate.

“It’s a real privilege to be in the position I have, I love being part of this Paralympic Movement, and contributing to it in any way I can,” said Craven.

The man, who largely contributed to the success of the London 2012 Paralympic Games, will be responsible for continuing this legacy, at least until Rio 2016.
