Great reward for SportAccord. The 2019 edition of the annual convention of the international sports movement, organized in Gold Coast, Queensland, has just been distinguished in Australia by three trophies. SportAccord 2019 was awarded the Platinum Award for best event of the year in Australia by Meeting & Events Australia (MEA). The convention also picked up the Government Event of the Year award, plus Best Legacy for a 2019 event in Queensland. The winners were announced during the virtual broadcast of the MEA Annual Awards, held at the ICC studios in Sydney. In Gold Coast, SportAccord brought together 1.700 delegates from all over the world. The 2020 edition of the convention, initially scheduled for March in Beijing, then moved to April in Lausanne, ultimately had to be canceled. But the next one is already known: SportAccord 2021 will take place from May 23 to 28 in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
