Seven candidates to join the ASOIF Council in June

Seven candidates for four places to fill: this is the equation that will present itself to the General Assembly of the Association of Summer Olympic Federations (ASOIF) during its meeting, June 11, in LausanneThree Council seats are at stake for the period 2025-2029 and one for the 2025-2027 window. It will be necessary to designate the replacements for Uğur Erdener (World Archery) and Sebastian Coe (World Athletics), who are both completing their second and final term, Ingmar De Vos (FEI), who is leaving his seat mid-term due to his election as president of ASOIF, and Nenad Lalovic (United World Wrestling)The latter is applying for re-election.

The other six candidates are Mohammed Jalood (IWF President), Thomas Konietzko (ICF President), Ximena Restrepo (World Athletics Vice President), Jean-Christophe Rolland (World Rowing President), Marco Scolaris (IFSC President, pictured), and Andreas Zagklis (FIBA Secretary General). The elected officials will join Petra Sörling, Morinari Watanabe and James Carr within the Council.
