Salt Lake City launches for 2030

Winter games

It’s now almost official: Salt Lake City will be a candidate for the Winter Games. The capital of Utah, already host of the event in 2002, is aiming to host it in 2030, two years after the Summer Games in Los Angeles. “But if no one is a candidate for 2026, we will be ready to launch sooner,” said Fraser Bullock, the co-chair of the bid committee. The project team met Monday, December 18 in Salt Lake City. She plans to present the main points of her file, including the system and the budget, to local elected officials and the media on February 1, 2018.
