The next edition of the America’s Cup will explore unknown territories. Several preparatory regattas will take place in the Swedish city of Gothenburg in August 2015. They will take place as part of the America's Cup World Series (ACWS), preliminary to the 2017 edition of the oldest sailing competition. According to organizers, other ACWS regattas will take place in Portsmouth, England, in July 2015 and July 2016.
