Record year for the USOC

United States

All is well for the US Olympic Committee. At least on the financial side. The USOC released its figures for fiscal year 2014 last Friday, a year marked by the Sochi Winter Games. Its turnover reached the sum of 270 million dollars, a record for a Winter Olympic year. Note, among the figures published, the annual salary of its executive director, Scott Blackmun, amounting to one million dollars for 2014, and the direct aid paid to athletes and national federations, which amounts to 144 millions of dollars.
