The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has done its sums: more than 150 athletes from 91 countries have benefited from its support programme to ensure their presence at the Paris 2024 Games. A number to which must be added the coaches and technical officials, who are also helped by the IPC all over the world. The support of the international body, comparable to the Olympic Solidarity set up by the IOC, is materialized by development programmes aimed directly at athletes, national Paralympic committees and international federations. Of the 155 athletes of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games supported by the IPC, more than 50% are women. The IPC support programme began in 2017. Present in more than 160 countries, it has accompanied the progression of more than 3.700 Paralympic athletes and supported more than 10.000 officials.
