The 2015 African Cup of Nations could ultimately be postponed by a few months, as its Moroccan organizers wish, due to the Ebola epidemic. According to Moroccan media, an “agreement in principle” has been reached between Moroccan officials and the Confederation of African Football (CAF). Daily life As-Sabah specifies that two scenarios have been put forward by the Moroccan side: the organization of the CAN in “June 2015” or “January 2016”. Issa Hayatou, the president of CAF, would have “shown himself willing to accept the Moroccan request” for a postponement to one of these dates. CAN 2015, the second to be held in Morocco, is scheduled from January 17 to February 8. The draw is due to take place on November 26 in Rabat.
