Things are coming together in Australia. At the initiative of the Queensland government, a new piece has been added to the Brisbane 2032 Games package: the creation of an independent authority responsible for the facilities and coordination of the event. It is made up of seven members. Its first task: to conduct a detailed review, within the next 100 days, of the planning of the Games, the map of competition sites, the transport network and the infrastructure needs, including the athletes' villages. It will notably be responsible for proposing the best possible option for the Olympic stadium, dedicated to the ceremonies and the athletics events. This independent authority, requested in particular by the mayor of Brisbane, Adrian Schrinner, is chaired by Stephen Conry. It also comprises Jess Caire, Tony Cochrane, Jill Davies, Jamie Fitzpatrick, Sue Johnson and Laurence Lancini. David Hourigan has been chosen as its general director.
