Casting changes at FIFA. The world football body announced the arrival, on November 1, of Kevin Lamour (photo above) as its new general manager of operations. The Franco-Swiss comes from UEFA, where he was deputy general secretary. At FIFA, he will be responsible for overseeing a whole range of divisions and subdivisions, including audit and consulting, communications, finance, personnel, member associations and professional football, across the three sites in Zurich, Paris and Miami. Another appointment, but internal: Elkhan Mammadov, who arrived at FIFA in May 2022, becomes director of the member operations division. He replaces Frenchman Kenny Jean-Marie, who left FIFA for " take on new challenges », according to the established formula. Finally, the former Swiss international Gelson Fernandes is appointed deputy director of this same division. The two men will also continue to assume their former functions, namely regional director for Europe (Elkhan Mammadov) and for Africa (Gelson Fernandes).
