Great catch for the Australian audiovisual group Nine (Nine Entertainment Co). The IOC announced that it had granted it exclusive rights to the Olympic Games for the next ten years. Nine will therefore offer the Australian public streaming, television and radio coverage of the next five editions of the Olympic event, from Paris 2024 to Brisbane 2032. The contract, the amount of which has not been communicated, concerns exclusive free and subscription audiovisual rights, as well as non-exclusive audio rights. Full coverage will also be provided across all of the group’s paper and online publication platforms: The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, Brisbane Times, WA Today, The Australian Financial Review and the website nine.com.au. In addition to its free-to-air and streaming offering, Nine will broadcast key moments of the Games on its radio stations 2GB Sydney, 3AW Melbourne, 6PR Perth and 4BC Brisbane.
