Back to training soon

Netherlands

Hope for high-level athletes in the Netherlands. According to the channel OUR, around thirty Dutch sports organizations are currently working on a strategy to reopen training centers from the beginning of May. The technical director of the Dutch Athletics Federation, Ad Roskam, explained that discussions were being held with the medical teams. Athletes could have access to gymnasiums and the track at specific times, they would only be allowed to travel directly from their home to the training center, locker rooms would remain closed, and athletes would have to respect social distancing of one and a half meters. Finally, the facilities would be disinfected on a daily basis. The plan to reopen training centers in the Netherlands could begin after April 28 at the earliest.
