New wave of cancellations

Canoe

The International Canoe-Kayak Federation (ICF) has once again worked on the calendar of competitions initially planned for the coming months. Unsurprisingly, she crossed out one by one all the tests that had not already been crossed out. All competitions scheduled to take place in May are canceled, including the paracanoe world championships and the Olympic road racing qualifying event, scheduled for Duisburg, Germany. The pre-Olympic training camps which were to take place in Tokyo during the months of May, June and July have all been cancelled. The first two stages of the Slalom World Cup, scheduled for June in Ivrea, Italy, then in Pau, France, have been postponed to a later date this year. Finally, the first road racing world championships for non-Olympic disciplines, awarded to the Hungarian city of Szeged, have been postponed until September. To date, they remain the only international competition still scheduled for the 2020 season.
