New summit meeting

Korea

The rapprochement between the two Koreas on the sporting field no longer marks the slightest pause. The South Korean agency Yonhap announces the organization, Friday, December 14, of a new meeting between representatives of Seoul and Pyongyang. At the center of the discussions is the question of a joint parade at the opening ceremony of the Tokyo 2020 Games. The meeting is to be held at the joint liaison office in Kaesong, a border town located on the northern side of the border between the two Korea. Vice Minister of Sports Roh Tae-kang will lead the South Korean delegation. His North Korean counterpart will be Deputy Sports Minister Won Kil-u. “ Having unified teams and walking together in the opening ceremony are pressing issues, said one of the officials of the South Korean delegation, quoted by Yonhap. We have precedents with bringing teams together and therefore we must reach agreements in areas where we do not have major differences. We also want to exchange all kinds of information"
