New CEO for the ITF

Ross Hutchins will become the new CEO of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) at the end of October. Currently the sporting director of the ATP, Hutchins was first a professional tennis player. He mainly made a career in doubles, winning five tournaments and reaching the Wimbledon quarter-finals in 2011The Briton appeared to be the ideal candidate for succeed Kelly Fairweather in the eyes of the ITF Council.

ITF President David Haggerty welcomed the appointment: " The ITF has the unique responsibility to protect and develop tennis at all levels around the world. Over the past few years, the ITF has built strong momentum in key areas, ranging from digital innovation and the restructuring of our circuits to the introduction of a balanced calendar, including the continued growth of wheelchair tennis. Ross brings to the ITF the leadership, vision and experience that will help us fulfill our mission. for the benefit of players, fans and nations around the world. »
