The International Cycling Union (UCI) announced via a press release: its athletes’ commission has two new members. The Czech Katerina Nash and the Swiss Simon Zahner were elected by their peers at the end of last week to represent their cyclo-cross discipline. The athletes' vote was organized on the sidelines of the 2017 World Championships in Bieles, Luxembourg. Katerina Nash and Simon Zahner were chosen from nine candidates, five men and four women. The Czech obtained 38,6% of the votes, her Swiss colleague having gathered 33% of the votes. The participation rate reached 82,2%.
