Michel Vion in an armchair

Ski

No bad surprises for Michel Vion. The combined world champion in 1982, now aged 58, was re-elected on Saturday June 2 in Grenoble for a third consecutive term as president of the French Ski Federation (FFS). A real plebiscite, since he obtained 782 votes out of the 783 delegates present at the general assembly of the federation (1 blank vote). Among its priorities for this third 4-year term, maintaining the number of licensees, an ever more event-driven policy, and the upcoming launch of the FFS TV channel. As a reminder, last month France won the organization of the Alpine Ski World Championships in 2023 in Courchevel and Méribel. It was in competition with the Austrian resort of Saalbach.
