Premium partner of the COJO Paris 2024, the luxury group LVMH continues its Olympic and Paralympic series. After the medals designed by Maison Chaumet, then the outfits of the French athletes for the opening ceremonies made by Berluti, or the trunks for the medals and the torches produced by Louis Vuitton, the last episode is dedicated to the outfits of the volunteers for the medal ceremonies and the trays used to present these same medals. Surprise: LVMH has given the outfits a resolutely retro look, looking to the past and the Paris Games in 1924. The 515 volunteers selected by Paris 2024, from national sports federations, will be dressed in a polo shirt and loose pants, and a hat, the "legendary French headgear ». Almost superfluous clarification: the collection imagined for these volunteers turns out to be a model of sustainability. It is made exclusively with eco-responsible materials and produced entirely in France, in the Vosges for the polo shirts, and by an association employing refugees for the pants. The only exception to the made in France: hats are made in Italy. The trays are the work of expert Louis Vuitton craftsmen from a workshop in Beaulieu-sur-Layon, in Maine-et-Loire. Adorned with Damier, the historic canvas of the House since 1888, they are covered on the inside with matte black leather. The sets, like the volunteers' outfits, will not be for sale.
