The United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) has found its future legal director in the person of William King. He will be responsible for overseeing legal matters within the organization and its affiliated entities. In this capacity, he will guide the USOPC legal strategy, will oversee the integrity and compliance of the Olympic and Paralympic movement in the United States and will serve as Secretary General of the USOPC Board of Directors. King will take office on October 15.

King has worked as the Associate Commissioner for Legal Affairs at the Southeastern Conference (SEC), a sixteen-university athletic association, for the past ten years. He previously worked for a law firm, specializing in college sports law.
