Einars Fogelis re-elected president of the FIL

Einars Fogelis was re-elected as head of the International Luge Federation by acclamation, Tuesday, in Germany. In office since 2020, the Latvian is re-elected for another term four-year termSecretary-General Dwight Bell (United States), and two vice-presidents, Thomas Schwab (Germany) and Armin Zöggeler (Italy), were also confirmed in their positions. Austrian Simon Paregger, his compatriot Philipp Trattner, and German Hans-Jürgen Köhne will also serve as vice-presidents until 2030. Ashley Walden (United States) and Xing Shuo (China) are also joining the executive committee.

In terms of budget, the FIL will have approximately two million euros more for the 2026-2030 cycle than for the past cycle thanks to the success of the marketing campaigns carried out with FIL sponsors This is by no means negligible, as it would represent a 20% increase. The FIL also indicates thata new logo and a new visual identity will be unveiled during the summer.
