Great catch for the EBU (European Broadcasting Union). It has announced that it has acquired the media rights for the next two editions of the men's World Cup, in 2026 and 2030. The agreement concerns seven of its members, spread across five territories: Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Israel (only the 2026 edition), and Hungary. Under this agreement, the five countries have committed to providing complete coverage of the tournaments in free-to-air, on television, digital and radio. In parallel, Eurovision News will provide turnkey reports throughout the competition. As a reminder, the EBU and FIFA had already done business for the 2022 men's World Cup in Qatar, then the women's World Cup the following year in Australia and New Zealand.
