Change of leadership at the presidency of the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF). The Italian Luciano Rossi (photo above), 69, emerged victorious on Wednesday November 30 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, from his duel with Russian billionaire Vladimir Lissine, the outgoing president. Like four years earlier, the election produced a very close result: 136 votes against 127. But unlike the last election, won by Vladimir Lissine by only four votes (148/144), the balance tipped in favor of favor of Luciano Rossi. He becomes the 8th president of the ISSF in the 115 years of existence of the international body. Considered the first fortune in Russia, Vladimir Lissin refused to give up his presidential chair, even temporarily, after the outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine. But he was quicker to leave the ISSF congress hall on Wednesday November 30 in the Egyptian seaside resort, disappearing after the announcement of the result. The secretary general of the ISSF, the Russian Alexander Ratner, unreserved support of the outgoing president, also deserted the meeting before its end. He should be replaced in his post by one of Luciano Rossi's supporters, the German Willi Grill.
