No time to lose. The organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games has launched its volunteer program Thursday. This program allows volunteers to get involved starting this yearthroughout the Los Angeles area. Registration is now open on the LA28 websiteBy launching this program more than two years before the Games, the organizing committee hopes leave a lasting legacy and mobilize broadly.
« We are not waiting until 2028 to take advantage of the resilience, generosity, and courage of Los Angeles. This unique initiative channels the spirit of volunteerism well before the opening ceremony.and we are fortunate to create a model for future host cities, as well as a legacy for Los Angeles and the Games, says Reynold Hoover, general manager of LA28. We hope this program will inspire Angelenos to give back to the city they love, to unite across communities, and to work together to build a stronger city. »
