The year ends well for Olympique de Marseille. The Provençal club announced on Tuesday that it had found a positive financial result for the first time since 2009, with a profit of 380.000 euros during the 2012-13 financial year. A result obtained thanks to a “reduction in expenses, and in particular in the payroll which decreases by 23% compared to the 2011-12 season”, indicated the club on its website. OM also managed to reduce its debt on player contracts “divided by more than 4 in two years”, going “from 33 million euros in June 2011 to 7,5 million euros as of June 30, 2013”.
