The International World Games Association (IWGA) is strengthening its network. It has announced that it has signed cooperation agreements with three National Olympic Committees, all European: the Czech Republic (COC), Italy (CONI), and the Netherlands (NOC*NSF). Two of the documents were initialed on October 30 in Cascais, Portugal, on the occasion of the General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), the third – with the Czech Republic – having been initialed a little earlier in the month in Chengdu, China, host city of the World Games in 2025. Objective: to strengthen the links between the IWGA and the three National Olympic Committees, promote the World Games and provide greater support to participating athletes. The body also explains that these memoranda of understanding " mark an important milestone in the IWGA's mission to foster international partnerships for the benefit of athletes and to enhance the visibility of the "World Games" brand on five continents." Logically, these three partnerships should soon call for others, with non-European countries.
