Busy schedule for the International Testing Agency (ITA). Before the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, on behalf of the International Cycling Union (UCI), it will deploy its anti-doping program on the Tour de France, which is due to start on Saturday June 29 from Florence, Italy. It revealed the details: a team of around forty people at the Grand Départ, in charge of taking samples; 400 out-of-competition tests carried out during the last month before the race; 600 samples taken during the race; close collaboration with the French and Italian authorities; and finally the first use of the endocrine module as part of the Athlete Biological Passport (PBA). The ITA also announced that samples taken before and during the Tour de France will be stored for a period of ten years, with a view to possible reanalysis.
