The quarrel turns into a crusade. The International Boxing Association (IBA) has announced that it is filing a complaint to the Attorney General of Switzerland, Stefan Blätter. The body directly attacks the IOC for having authorized the participation of Imane Khelif and Lin Yu-ting, ineligible in its eyes, for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. "According to Swiss law, any action or inaction that poses a risk to the safety of participants warrants an investigation and may serve as grounds for criminal prosecution. In addition, similar complaints should be filed with the attorneys general of France and the United States", justifies the IBA, which presents itself as "the only international federation committed to defending the integrity of women's sports". IBA President Umar Kremlev of Russia (pictured above) calls on female boxers affected by the participation of Imane Khelif and Lin Yu-ting "to initiate a legal action against IOC president Thomas Bach, sports director Kit McConnell, and their respective teams". He assures that "the IBA will bring full legal support and free » to athletes in these trials, "because it is a clear violation of human rights, an insult to female boxers and simply a crime that should be punished accordingly". Umar Kremlev also sees an ally in Donald Trump, believing that the decree recently signed in the United States validates the IBA's position.
