The International Athletics Federation (IAAF) has published its statistics on anti-doping controls carried out in 2012 under its direct authority. These statistics relate only to IAAF tests and do not include those carried out by national anti-doping agencies, WADA or the IOC. The IAAF target group in 2012 included 525 athletes selected from the Top 20 in each discipline. The top ten countries tested in 2012 are: Kenya, 348 tests; Russia, 336 tests; United States, 222 tests; Ethiopia, 171 tests; Jamaica, 126 tests; Ukraine, 94 tests; Belarus, 82 tests; Türkiye, 74 tests; Germany, 72 tests and Morocco, 62 tests.
