Azerbaijan's bid for Euro 2020 has received official support from the country's President Ilham Aliyev, who signed a state order supervising the start of work on the bid project. The most important matches would take place at the Olympic Stadium, built for the 2015 European Games, which has a capacity of 60.000 people. As a reminder, Euro 2020 must take place in 13 cities in Europe. Azerbaijan and Georgia are joining forces to host part of the event.
