It is now official: Armenia is a candidate to organize the Francophonie Games in 2027. Deputy Foreign Minister Vahe Gevorgyan made the announcement during his speech at the 44th Ministerial Conference of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) in Yaoundé, Cameroon (November 4 and 5). Vahe Gevorgyan insisted, in his speech, on Armenia's commitment to the values of the OIF, including the promotion and strengthening of peace, and the protection of human rights. The award of the next edition of the Francophonie Games should be between Armenia and Benin, another candidate already declared for the organization of the sporting and cultural event in 2027.
