The French sailing family has just expanded. By virtue of a decision from the Ministry of Sports, published on January 11, 2017 in the official journal, the French Sailing Federation (FFV) regains the delegation of the kiteboard discipline. According to a press release from the FFV, this decision “will help the discipline to get out of an impasse in which it has found itself for several years”. First consequence: France will be able to organize international competitions on its territory and register French representatives in major international World Sailing competitions. As a reminder, kiteboarding is on the program for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires.
