Ivo Ferriani returns his keys

SportAccord

End clap for Ivo Ferriani (photo above). The Italian leader will shed one of his multiple hats this weekend in Lausanne by completing his mandate as president of SportAccord. The general assembly of the organization, Sunday November 12 at the Maison du sport international, will be marked by the election of a new executive committee, which will then appoint from among its members a president to succeed Ivo Ferriani. The general assembly of SportAccord will also be invited to approve the new statutes of the body. They provide for the inclusion within the executive committee of representatives of all the umbrella organizations of the international federations, namely the ASOIF for summer Olympic sports (three representatives), the AIOWF for winter sports (two), the ARISF for sports recognized by the IOC (two), and finally the AIMS for independent members, not recognized by the IOC (one). The SportAccord general assembly will be followed by the Forum of International Federations, organized from November 13 to 15, still in Lausanne.
