The World Championships return to Africa, 21 years later

Africa is on the rise. The president of the International Judo Federation (IJF), Marius Vizer, and Didier Budimbu Ntubwanga, Minister of Sports and Recreation of the Dem. Rep. of Congosigned an agreement confirming that Kinshasa will host the World Judo Continental Team Championships for Peace in 2026. Anything but anecdotal, since this will be the first world championship organized on the continent since 2005, when it was held in Cairo.
