Heike Groesswang elected president of the IBSF

Heike Groesswang was elected president of the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF). Secretary General since 2012, the German woman becomes, at 56, the first woman to hold the top positionShe was elected in the first round of voting with 27 votes out of 45. Martins Dambergs (3 votes), Ander Mirambell (10 votes) and Nelson Christian Stokes (5 votes) were the three other candidates.

" She succeeds Ivo Ferriani, who held the position of president of the IBSF from 2010 to 2026.
