Nice blow for the International Cyclist Union (UCI). It signed a “strategic partnership contract” with the Belgian audiovisual group Telenet which covers the main cyclo-cross events. Under this agreement, which will take effect from the 2015-2016 season and end at the end of the 2019-2020 season, Telenet will sublicense the rights to five of the seven rounds of the Cup from VRT. of the 2015-2016 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup, and will also become the main sponsor of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup. Telenet broadcasts its images mainly in Flanders and the Brussels region.
