Historic agreement with the EBU and IMG

UCI

The UCI will no longer have to worry about television coverage of its major competitions. It announces in a press release that it has awarded the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and the company IMG the marketing of the global rights to all of its world championships for the next eight years. Under this agreement, the EBU and IMG will work in partnership with the UCI between 2017 and 2024 on the road, track, mountain bike, cyclo-cross, BMX and even urban cycling Worlds. As a bonus, the agreement also concerns the track and cyclo-cross World Cups. Rights have been acquired for all platforms and worldwide. The press release specifies that the EBU will market the rights directly in Europe and, under a sub-licensing agreement with the EBU, IMG will handle the rest of the world.
