Glasgow could get started

Commonwealth Games

After Ghana and its capital, Accra, a second candidacy file is reportedly in preparation for the Commonwealth Games in 2026. Sports Business reports that the Scottish city of Glasgow, host of the multisport event in 2014 (photo above), has opened the file and is working on a feasibility study. Nothing official at this stage, but the Scottish option could constitute an interesting alternative for the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF), already in discussions with Ghana for a first edition on the African continent. The CGF announced at the beginning of the month that the host city for the Games in 2026 would be announced before the end of May.
