Four candidacies for the 2027 Alpine Ski Worlds

The International Ski Federation (FIS) can rub its hands: the Alpine Ski World Championships are still so envious. The international body announces that it has received applications from four countries for the 2027 edition: Switzerland with Crans Montana, Germany with Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Norway with Narvik, and finally Andorra with Soldeu. On the other hand, only one application was submitted on time for the organization of the Nordic ski world championships in 2027. It is carried by the Swedish resort of Falun. The FIS has also registered a single application for the Ski Flying Worlds in 2026, submitted by the German town of Oberstdorf. The choice of host cities will be decided by a vote of the FIS Council, organized on the occasion of the 53rd congress of the body, at the end of spring 2022. The next two editions of the Alpine Ski Worlds will take place in Méribel- Courchevel (France) in 2023, then in Saalbach (Austria) in 2025.
