The first edition of the Pan-American version of SportAccord, scheduled for December 10-12, 2019 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is already shaping up to be a success. According to the organizers, around fifty international federations should be present in Florida for this first continental version of the international convention. Among them, the federations of basketball (FIBA), bobsleigh and skeleton (IBSF), curling (WCF), ice hockey (IIHF), judo (IJF), skiing (FIS), tennis (ITF), weightlifting (IWF ), baseball/softball (WBSC), and rugby (World Rugby). They will be joined by a battalion of international non-Olympic sports organizations, all members of GAISF, some of which are seeking recognition by the IOC.
