The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) is advancing a new pawn in its commercial strategy. She announces having signed a long-term contract – eight years – with the Infront agency. It concerns the distribution of media rights for its international events from the start of the 2026-2027 season until the end of the 2033-2034 financial year. The audiovisual rights of the FIS will therefore be centralized for two Olympics, as desired by the president of the body, the Swede Johan Eliasch, since his election at the head of the FIS. The agreement provides that the FIS will now be able to exercise total control over contracts, unlike what is currently done, where the main ski countries can sell their rights individually. The agreement announced Monday July 24 also guarantees a jackpot of 600 million euros for the FIS, over a period of eight years, and revenues increased by at least 100 million euros for the two Olympics. Finally, the contract will allow the FIS to recover “ immediately " access to images for digital use, and to offer a streaming service in countries where competition images are not held by a broadcaster.
