Nafissatou Thiam, the Olympic heptathlon champion, and Greg Van Avermaet, gold medalist in road cycling at the Rio Games, were named Belgian Sportswoman of the Year 2016 during the 50th edition of the Sport Gala , Saturday December 17 in Forest. The Coach of the Year trophy was presented to Roger Lespagnard, Nafissatou Thiam’s coach for almost 10 years.
