The end of purgatory has come for Kosovo's clubs. Three days after a meeting between the presidents of the Serbian and Kosovar Football Federations, at the headquarters of the International Federation in Switzerland, the FIFA emergency committee approved on Monday January 13 the conditions under which clubs or teams representing Kosovo could play friendly matches. One of these conditions is that Kosovar clubs and teams do not display national symbols – flags or emblems – or play national anthems. They will, however, be able to wear outfits marked with the name of Kosovo, specifies FIFA. These teams are not allowed to play official or qualifying matches until the Kosovo Federation is a member of FIFA.
