The UCI takes the potential risks of technological doping in the professional peloton very seriously. She carried out unannounced bicycle checks during the Tour de Romandie, Friday April 29, 2016. Results: a blank copy. No technological fraud was detected, while the UCI teams tested 347 bikes. These checks were carried out using the new scanning method, which uses a tablet, a box, an adapter and a program developed for the occasion. A method that allows the operator to control a complete bicycle, its wheels, frame, groupset and other components in less than a minute.
