The American track and field trials for the 2016 Rio Olympics will take place in Eugene, Oregon for the third consecutive time, the American Federation said on Thursday. The “Trials” will take place from July 1 to 10, 2016 at Hayward Field, considered an athletics mecca in the United States and which has already hosted the event in 2008 and 2012, as well as in 1972, 1976 and 1980. Eugene will organize the Junior World Athletics Championships in 2014.
