Tony Estanguet, the three-time C1 Olympic champion, now a member of the IOC, was elected to the 3rd vice-president of the International Canoe Federation. The Frenchman was in competition with the Pole Jozef Berjnarowicz, president of the Polish Federation. Tony Estanguet won with 95 of the 125 votes following a vote which took place at the FIC Congress in Warsaw.
