The English Football Federation is not remaining idle after the manifestations of racism observed during several matches. It has put in place a repressive system against guilty players. For a first “fault”, the player will be given a 5-match suspension, but it will be doubled in the event of a repeat offense. Clubs which have two players penalized will also be sanctioned. The penalty introduced by the English Federation is lower than that desired by UEFA, which has repeatedly expressed the idea of an initial ban of 10 matches.
